data logger :)

here is some information about the advantages of data logger :)

Last week and this week, we have learnt about the data logger. what is data logger actually? data logger is an electronic device that record data over time or in relation to a location either with built in instrument or sensor or via external instrument and sensors.
data logger device :
  1. small
  2. battery powered
  3. portable (easy to bring everywhere)
  4. equipped with a microprocessor
  5. have internal memory for storing data
Some data loggers need personal computer to activate themselve and need to have a software to view and analyze the collected data. Data logger are vary between general purpose types for a range measurement application to very specific devices in measuring in one specific environment or application type only.
In this class, i've learnt how to use data logger. there are two sensor that we used. The first one is temperature and the second one is humidity. Just insert the sensor on the switch, the data logger can function automatically but sometimes manually. Then, set up the data logger and adjust the temperature sensor, the rate and time. the data logger will give the reading of rate of changing temperature and rate of changing humidity. Then, we can see the result which is the graph of the rate of temperature and humidity.
What are the advantages of data logger? Data logger is a device that it can stored data and manually transfer to a computer to view that data. Data logger have the ability to accept a greater number of input channels with better resolution and accuracy. Besides that, data logger have some form on-board intelligence, which provide the user with diverse capabilities. A data logger is a self-contained unit, that does not have a host to operate. It can be installed in any location, and left to operate unattended. Moreover, data logger have the ability to work similarly to standard recorders, in order that they provide the user with a hard copy printout of the data recorded. The another interesting advantages of data loggers is that they can acts as alarm, while recording a minimum number of samples. A data logger can record at very long intervals, saving paper, and can note when alarm condition is occuring. That are the advantages of data loggers.
With this kind of device in school, student are convenience to make analysing of data by easily recording their data in the data logger and just simply get the graph and table from the data logger by insert it on the PC.
